Guys, I was searching for a Scott foil on fleabag and came across a Scott foil team issue 2012 with one bid of £30 on it with 14 hours left on it, looking at the sellers other items he a new pinarello and a colnago 2012, both with one bid of £30 on them, again 14 hours left on them it just seems rather strange, not having enough knowledge of these bikes, can anyone say if they look genuine and worth a bid? It's as they say to me, if its too good to be true..... Then again is it worth a punt, I realise they could/ will go higher but it seems strange only one bid at this stage of the game.
Sorry no links, I don't know how, but easy to find with a search.

  • Usually with eBay most people don't bid until the last few minutes. I expect the price will rise quickly as the end of the unction approaches. Things tend to reach their proper price.

Ok I will keep an eye on them, funny though, no sizes given on any of them, I've messages the seller for the info.

    These listings all stink IMO.

New seller, selling 3 top end bikes that he has put on a short auction. Yes the prices will go up massively in the hours remaining but I hope that whoever 'wins' the bikes only pays by Paypal, otherwise they can kiss goodbye to their cash I think.

2 previous deals were for coins not cycling stuff. Interesting to see that he has listed them in the following category

Listed in category:Coins > Coins > United States > Dollars

I recently 'won' a bike on eBay with Chorus 11 speed groupset and Eurus wheels and thought that I had bagged a bargain for £950. Paid by Paypal and nothing turned up - had to wait a couple of weeks to give seller time but Paypal paid up in full when the bike never arrived. Hope Paypal have taken the necessary means to recover the money from the seller (he had little feedback but we all have to start off somewhere).

Bid on them by all means but don't expect anything to turn up.

Thanks nochekmate , you have confirmed what I thought, these are £6k bikes and strange no real detail on them, and no minimum bid price set on them, I'll take your advice and steer clear.
  • That Colnago M10 pic is from a guy who was selling the frame only a wee while ago. This dodgy fecker is using his photo.

All 3 listings have now been removed - probably been reported and removed by eBay.
