swaping wheels

Hi ya a bit unsure..
Can I just swap rear wheels over without changing the chain ( told new cassette new chain !! )
I have campy anthena 11 speed 11 - 25 at the moment.
But was thinking of maybe having a 12 - 27 For hilly sportives ..... then change back.As long as the chain fits.

Wot do u think / do ...

    It depends on the relative wear of the chain and cassette.

    New Chain - New Cassette = Fine
    Worn Chain - Worn Cassette = Fine (they wear together)
    New Chain - Worn Cassette = Bad

    What you were told is true but only to an extent. Swap wheels after 1,000 miles to a set with a new cassette and it should be fine, try it at 5,000 miles and you'll have shifting problems.

    thats fine only just had the bike..
    Now need to change my shimano 10 sp hub to a campy 11 speed.
    any advise .....
