Nike & cycling

So I was in NikeTown in New York a week or so ago and it struck me how Nike seem to deny that cycling is a sport. They were demonstrating the Nike Fuel energy band and I asked the guy how it worked. He told me it measured arm movements to which I enquired how well it worked for cycling - "Oh no, it doesn't work on a bike". A couple of floors up was the LiveStrong gear (think what you like about LA, but LiveStrong has raised $80,000,000 for cancer sufferers etc) - I asked if they had the LiveStrong cycling gear "Oh no, you can only get that on line". WTF? What is it with cycling and Nike? I can accept it isn't their core but it's as if they're actively discouraging cycling.

I always fancied a pair of Nike Cycling shoes - but can you get them if your not LA or a former British world champion - can you heck."If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."
