Im thinking of making a carbon bike frame for my winter project. I have read some articles about it and it seems doable. My questionss are...

How long did it take you?
What method or article did you use for help amd guidance if any?
How much dd it cost you?
Did you base it off a design which has already been made?
Would it be possible to make it with internal cable routing without maing the frame weak?

Im not definitely making it yet but i am thinking about it
any replies will be appreciated.

  • Without an autoclave the curing of the resin will be poor and you run the risk of the frame falling apart.
It seems to me a project that will end up with a hefty budget and a disappointing result

I would rather look at bamboo as construction material, it builds light, strong and stiff enough and it is easier to work with

  • Take care with adnapdentition syndrome though if using bamboo

Thankfully pandas don't like nuts - but watch out for your top tube!
