Lapierre Spicy build complete...

Bought the frame a couple of months ago before i went on back home to Oz on holiday and have now finally got round to building it up...
Managed to get some original 'touch-up' paint and sorted out the chips/scratches. Then finished with a final paint T-cutting and helitape covering session.
Didn't have any press fitting tools, so the Hope head set and Truvativ BB were gently fitted with a wood block and mallet!
Went in fine...
Used the Hope AM4/ZTR Flow wheel-set, Hope stem and RockShox Reverb post from my old Marin hardtail and then added all the rest of the parts I had stock piled during my Scott Ransom build, like the Crankset, Saddle, Jag-wiring, pedals, stem spacers etc etc....
I had alot of the parts stashed away so the build has only cost me around £1100 with the used frame, new fork, new brakes and new shifters etc...

Managed to get out for a day time ride thanks to some clear Aberdeen weather! YAY!
I was very happy with how it performed!
It rolled quick, climbed well and gobbled up the steeper stuff!
Better learn to ride better, me thinks...Scott Ransom

May have to agree... I love the look of orange frames but this is in a league of its own i think. But then again i havnt't ridden it (probally rides as good as it looks though!).0 -
Looks sweet ! Excellent colour combo there , i'd finish it off with some black hope floaters ...0

Actually my spare Mavic wheel set with 'Swamp Thing' tyres have Hope black 6 bolt floating rotors...
But the ZTR's on it at the moment are Hope 4 bolt rotors though...
Will try and get a pic of the winter set up soon!
On the Orange?...
Can't help myself, i've got a thing for the Orange bikes, particularly an Alpine 160...
I don't care what other people think are currently in or out of trend at any given time...
I just like capable mountain bikes of all types and really love mountain biking! 8)
Thanks for your comments guys!
I'm really enjoying the bike so far and looking forward to an epic ride this coming sunday...Scott Ransom

Dude, nice ride...., check out CRC for some cable clips, they stick to your frame and come with little cable ties, great alternative to big cable ties on your dropper cable. they about £6 for three......0
