I know there is plenty of stuff on here about the CF SLX but I was wanting to know about the CF. Is it much good or not?

Thanks

Davey, nothing wrong with the Ul CF at all mate...I've had mine for near on 3 years and its joy to ride.

Theres not a great deal of differance to the SLX. If you can get a CF for a good deal over the SLX...get the CF mate.

If you want any more details re sizing or anything, send me a PM and i'll help in what ever way i can.

Haven't really experienced the CF but I have a 2011 SLX and an Al for training and winter and I must say they are both great. The ride on both is great and they are both stiff when you need them to be but good enough ride to be able to make 4-5 hour rides do-able. Took my SLX to the pyrenees this year and had at least a couple of gears spare getting up some of the longer climbs.

I have found canyons customer service to be spot on too, really quick and their uk service centre are pretty helpful. I found their sizing pretty accurate too.

Not sure if that is actually helpful given your question so it depends on how long you would have to save for a SLX but i doubt you would be taking out in the winter up there so probably suggest you wait, go easy on christmas presents to the family and get an SLX!

    canny..... like!

  • I am tempted by the boardman SLR 9.0 with SRAM Force. It's more or less the same price as the CF when you include the postage and packaging for the Canyon.
