A few places have these frames at half price. Seems like a much bigger discount than you'd usually see on this kind of frame.

What's the story? Less demand than anticipated this year? Big revamp due for 2013?

Cheers.

There was a delayed production run on the frames which meant that there was an excess of 2012 frames produced late in the year. Clearly they would struggle to shift them as most people would hold off for 2013 frames.

These are a absolute bargain as they are exactly the same (apart from the paint job) as the 2013 frames.

I have just ordered a full build on one!

Good deals can be had on S5 frames too......£2500 for the VWD version!

As a happy R5 owner this deal is now beginning to make me feel slightly less happy... £1575 looks like a very good price!
  • I missed the additional 10% off, gutted!!

For that money you cannot go wrong, unbelievable value

I'll try again. Where does one find a reasonably priced BBright chainset with BB here in jolly old United Kingdom?

Google is suggesting either FSA SLK Light BBright or 3D. Alternatives?

The story I got was that the UK distributor (Madison) had bought up all remaining 2012 stock and were selling it off cheap to undermine companies that were grey market importing (like Wiggle).

My one comes with a life time warranty.

Try Velocity 44 in Stirling, they might be able to get one for you.

    I beg to differ......
Starting January 1, 2004, each Cervélo SA (Cervélo) bicycle frame purchased after this date is warranted by Cervélo SA against defects in workmanship and materials for as long as the frame is owned by the original owner, excluding paint and decals. (Cervélo bicycle frames purchased before this date came with a four year warranty). This covers ALL bicycle frame models Cervélo offers. This warranty is expressly limited to either the repair or replacement of the defective frame – the decision to repair and replace to be at the sole discretion of Cervélo – and no other remedies are available under the warranty.

I have bought 1 of the r5 vwd ltd frames, I tried all the discount codes I knee but none of them would work on a frame. Clothing and shoes they work no problem. But frames nope......
My order has been processed and now I'm awaiting delivery. Let the new build for 2013 commence. :D

  • My word that is such a bargain! In my opinion the two best designed colour schemes too.

If you are lucky enough to have 61cm frame they have a yellow and black one too! mint

You want the BBRight versions - which ones you want depends what cranks you plan to run. If I were you I would be looking at Rotor 3D+ so specifically you would want http://www.velotechservices.co.uk/shop/ ... 7410001938

Wiggle have 54 and 56 available again this morning! Clever Wiggle!!

Other place I saw them was Primo cycles in Cambridge, via their Facebok page.
  • Mine has just arrived!

Some points that might be useful...feel free to comment:

    1. The BB30 is supplied but not fitted, his is a bonus for me as I need to install a shimano compatible BB
    2. The fork comes with upper and lower bearings but no crown race fitted and also a weird alu cone with star nut inside and epoxy glue....I can guess but anyone know about this?

Looks great in black and blue :)

Once you have cut your steerer tube to the correct length, glue the aluminium tube into it. Then fix star nut as normal. But I think you probably guessed that! I did read that it's safe to use with a normal expanding wedge on the Cervelo forum, but I just got the tube glued by my local LBS.
  • thanks, all glued in and was fairly straight forward in the end.

I'm going to install my new Rotor/shimano BB and I have heard everyone talking about loctite'ing in the BB.....did you do the same?

loctite is the way to go. make sure you use the right one and a primer. then leave alone for 24hours. you'll find lots of advice on the cervelo forum.
