Trek 2.1 madone v, BMC streetracer SR01

Hi All,
New to forum and looking for a bit of advice please.
I was totally sold on buying a Trek 2.1 madone from my LBS but since perusing the net I have come across the BMC streetracer SR01 and I'm now torn between 2. Does anyone have experience good or bad of either bike?
I am essentially a commuter but like to train locally in hilly Lancashire and do the occasional sportive (100km being my furthest 100 miles my ultimate goal!!!). My youngest offspring has started nursery and so I am slowly getting more available time on my days off from work and dying to ride in the hills just on my doorstep.
Therefore I want something that will provide moderate comfort over longer distances but something with a bit of zip up the hills, and down again!! I am a 43 year old MAMIL and I'm hoping that this bike purchase will keep me happy for years!!
Thanks for your kind attention.

not that much in it perhaps, but be an individual buy the BMC - (and also distance yourself from an LA bike)http://veloviewer.com/SigImage.php?a=3370a&r=3&c=5&u=M&g=p&f=abcdefghij&z=a.png
Wiliers: Cento Uno/Superleggera R and Zero 7. Bianchi Infinito CV and Oltre XR20 -
See something else to think about being an individual !! Ha ha ! I presume the trek is an LA bike where I think the BMC is Swiss. All frames made in Taiwan no doubt!0
