just cant get comfortable on my bar drops, the stock C-profile ones that came with my Scott S30. There's too much curve and I've tweaked the position of them and the brakes but it just doesn't feel right.
I've seen some pics of these flat ramp bars 5785.jpg and they look like the sort of thing that would be a lot more comfortable, I'm relatively new to road bikes and middle aged - a little overweight but shedding the pounds fast...
Anyone experienced with swapping over to this style of bar? Are they worth a punt?

No-one is really going to be able to tell you what YOU will find comfortable, only what THEY find comfortable.
This may not be the answer you were hoping for but it is the reality.

For what its worth I find FSA Wing Pro's are the most comfortable for ME. I have had a couple of sets of bars (Deda Big Piega being one) with the type of profile in the drops as you show and they were not right for me but one of my riding mates loves them (the Deda ones that is).

fair enough, i guess i was interested to see if others who found conventional C-shape bars uncomfortable preferred the feel of the flat ramp ones. Its not easy to gauge in the shop either, till you have the chance to fit em and ride em a few miles. But they want u to buy them first :(
