hi
getting confused by all the different varieties.
have bought a forme longlciffe with 700x23 tyres as a winter training bike. (no commuting)
had a pair of crudracer mark 1s on a previous bike but want something more substantial for the wet scottish winters and this bike has mudguard eyelets.
there are various types of sks mudguards:
raceblade long
longboard
bluemels
chromoplastics
their site doesnt seem to give much info on the differences.
i want a set which will keep me dry and of course have plenty of street cred! hehehe
what do people recommend? any other brand i should consider?
cheers

chromoplastics - you can choose the narrowest if running 23's or 25's0

You need something substantial. The longboards are really good, but I would suggest are only for the "bigger" bike. If you 're using 23-25 s then the Normal chromoplastics are also good. There has been a recent trend for rubbish flaps, but the proper SKS ones should have them. To keep feet dry the flaps should be long and give good coverage.
The search for decent guards can be as long as the search for a good saddle - good look!Ecrasez l’infame0 -
The Crud mk2's are supposed to be greatly improved over the originals, I'm going to get a set tomorrow for my Relex (no eyelets)
Nice to see another Forme rider on the forum2019 Ribble CGR SL

Get the chromoplastics. The other 2 are for fatter tyres, and the raceblade-long are for bikes with no eyelets.0
