Cycle to work Scheme - which road bike?

Hello all
Please excuse my first post being a request for help! I'm thinking of getting a road bike through cycle to work to add to my current stable of a specialized sirrus sport that I've had since August. I took up cycling at the beginning of the month and have well and truly been bitten by the bug.
Now I'm stuck though. I'm still a relative novice but feel ready for a road bike. The choice seems to be a giant defy 4, a Btwin Triban 3 or a 5. The triban 3 and the defy seem very similar spec wise but with an obvious price difference. The Triban 5 seems to be more bike than the defy for less money.
So my question is, what does the collective wisdom suggest I choose? The sirrus isn't just used to bike to work btw, I go out at the weekends and want to work my mileage up (currently doing 20 - 25 miles on a run). I'd want to use the new bike on nice says to ride to work too, about 8 miles each way.
Thanks all!

I don't have experience with Giant but really enjoyed riding my Btwin sport 3 til I upgraded. Btwin give good value and a fun ride.0
