CWNTs Rockhopper Winter bike

  • Nah, I'll be keeping the rigid fork, and the duranos. This is still going to be my winter communter. It's surprisingly rapid. Has served me well this last 5-6 months, has bagged many many strava KOMs, and has helped improve my fitness loads.

That Kinesis fork is really nice though. and they're not expensive either.

Went for a Rose Xeon RS 5000 in the end. Love the Rose service, love the fact you can send any individual part of the bike (chainset, bars, stem, post, saddle etc) back to them within a month of receiving it to exchange for a different size. Love the fact that for just over 2 grand, you can get a sub 7kg, size 56 bike, with campy chorus, ksyrium elite and ritchey WCS carbon finishing kit.
Don't love the fact it's a 4 week wait (which should be over this coming week)

Sounds like you have done well. Ill look out for it on the dark side of the forum next month..
  • Had a quick ride out today. Everything is working well, it handles quite nicely, not the boneshaker I was expecting.

Only problem was the snow. In places it's still a good 15ft deep

Pretty crazy really considering this is literally 2 miles up the road from my house, where there is no snow at all.
