Hi, could any body tell me where i can do a gear ratio comparison between a 53/39 - 12/28 and a compact 50/34 - 12/26. Thanks for any advice or information. Cheers.
I might sound old fashioned, but if you divide the number of teeth of your chainset by the number of teeth of the sprocket, you get your gear ratio, which is the number of revs a wheel does per pedal rev...
Numbers under 1.4 are granny gears, numbers above 3.5 are big gears
