Gels / Sports drinks VAT increase?

So a mate just mentioned to me that i should bulk buy as many sports drinks and gels as i can right now as they going to add VAT to them tomorrow is this true?

Is the VAT thing still going ahead?

I sent in a response to the consultation and HMRC said they would send a proper reply when the consultation closed. I'm still waiting to hear back :roll:

Yup VAT added tomorrow. Hence why I did a big shop with CNP last week
