Giant Defy 4 vs Trek 1.1 H2 vs ? (£600)

My budget was previously £300 but since finding out my work runs the "Cycle to work" scheme my budget will now be around £500, £600 max. Looked at both of the above bikes but none of them have a carbon fork whereas the Triban 3 from Decathlon for £300 has?
This will be my first road bike, despite riding mountain bikes for years. Just want something to get into it, ride to work with, and once I get some more fitness - to ride to uni and back which will be 50 miles there and back which probably won't be a lot to some of you but bear in mind I've only rode mountain bikes before!
