Are there any other bikes that will match a similar spec to the Boardman Road Team Carbon Bike 2011/2012, price £1299

Hi I have a similar budget and have seen you can spec a Ribble R872 with SRAM Rival or Campag Centaur Black 'n' Red groupsets for ~same money, or Shimano 105 for a tiny bit les. I also spotted a ProRace Castor with Campag Athena groupset on Wiggle for £1200 that looks pretty good.0

Thanks will take a look, the thing with Ribble is their wait time once you have ordered the bike, I called in a couple of weeks ago.
I have also looked at Planet X and their RT-57, slightly dearer @ £1499.
I would be happy with Shimano 105 gearsRibble Stealth R872 (105 Groupset)

Cannondale Supersix for £50 than the Boardman. 105 and Mavic Aksiums.
Much as the Boardman is a great bike, for me it's a no-brainer.

That reminds me of something I've noticed; it's rare to get a full groupset at this kind of price with the cannondale having Tekto calipers instead of the 105s. I've seen some bikes advertised as Ultegra but it's usually shifters and derailers paired with generic chains, cassettes, brakes etc.0 -
I recently ordered the Cannondale supersix with 105. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised it had shimano 105 front and rear brakes. It is advertised and listed with Tektro brakes but it came with the full 105!0

Yes it's a shame but for that money it's still a great package. Easy and relatively cheap to change if you're that worried, I'm always seeing 105 callipers for sale on BR, seems the by product of people upgrading CX bikes to 105 and not needing the brakes!0 -
Great advice, thanks will read some reviews and have a look at the bike show in Birmingham this weekendRibble Stealth R872 (105 Groupset)

the Cannondales won't be around for long, they're clearing out the 2012 stock ready for 2013 bikes so don't think about it for too long!0

Planet X are doing the Rt 57 with majority SRAM rival for £999 at the moment.0
