I was all set to get the pro race 3 by Michelin, however have recently come across a fair few bad reviews.
I do mostly training riding, around 60km a week, often on country lanes so can be rouch, gravelly and wet.
Any recomendations?

I had Michelin Pro Race 3 for ages. They were fantastic. The only downside to them was they got cut up a bit easy, but puncture-wise they were just fine and you can argue with the grip in any condition or the weight. Currently on Pro Race 4 and they're even better. Grip is just as good and they don't get cut up. Also a fan of Conti GP 4000s, but at the limit I find the PR4 to have better grip in the wet and they're slightly lighter.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0

I like the Conti 4 Seasons GP. Very good in all conditions, durable, puncture resistant and they handle nicely.0

grippy race tyres tend to have softer stickier rubber, which cuts more easily, especially in the wet
for wet roads with lots of sharp bits then a tougher one will be better, like the 4 seasons above, or the gatorskins
get slightly wider ones, 25mm will fit most frames with plenty of clearance, they'll be a bit more comfy and work better on the rougher surfacemy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
Never had any problems with ProRace 3s or 2's before that, oh and actually the original Pro Races. All great tyres, I don't ride on anything else tbh. Soon be trying the 4s as well, HIGHLY recommended.0

The Conti 4 Seasons are ok but they really aren't all that sturdy - they do certainly chuck up gallons of water from the road surface in the wet and I'd only recommend them with mudguards (unless you have a winter water fetish!).
I've recently tried a set of Pro 4 service course in place of the Conti's on my commuter and have to say they are fantastically smooth rolling tyres. Haven't tried them in the wet yet -they do look a tad slick! They also feel more robust than I recall Pro 3's which I had several years back (they used to cut up badly on me).
