hi all narrowed my new purchase down to these two, i think its down to a coin toss, So your opinons and votes will be very welcome.

The sensa will be built using ultegra group and wheels. advantage for the cube is it will be bought from my LBS, but i cant find any info on thw wheels!

Advantage for sensa full ultegra and its a bit lighter, but its mail order. i have been to merlin to size it up this week tho but its a couple of hours down the M6 if there is a problem.

    I think you're right, like them both - it's a coin toss...
(now speccing up Sensa as i cant get the Cube I want)
I imagine Cube will get more votes though due to the brand name
    Sensa Giulia 105

what cube are you after? the sensa i specced up came out slightly more expensive, even then i had to reign myself in!
  • I voted Cube as I have the GTC SL 2012 and it is an awesome ride both in terms of comfort and power.

I think Cube knew how well good VFM they were and have dropped the spec a little. My 2012 model had various DuraAce parts and the next model of DT Swiss wheels. I'm sure Ultegra is a fine ride too though.

Colours of the Cube are more mainstream this year too. The old matt black / lime green certainly divides opinion!

If it were me I would get the Sensa - stick with 105 on it and chuck all the available budget at the wheels (don't skimp on tyres either)

    but both are good bikes

  • @DarrenGTi It was the 2012 sl I tried in the shop but my budget won't stretch that far :(. I love the black and green.
I think cube have dropped the spec of the sl to make it more affordable they have knocked nearly £500 off the price of last years.

@edhornby have you any reasons why you would choose the sensa over the cube.

I voted Cube, but still like the Sensa lol!
Looks wise I don't think there is much in it.
Spec wise not much in it.
    LBS is handy
The DT Swiss wheels are the big let down on the Cube, a google search implies they are an entry level £150-200 wheel set, weighing in the range 1900-2000g.
  • I almost bought a Cube Litening HPC last year but this year (again) they show the bikes with different wheelsets. they show litenings with deep section Dt swiss or mavic wheels R sys, but on the spec list they are the Dt swiss 2.0 standard road wheels, and you cannot get a price for the better wheeled versions, very fustrating so I bought a felt instead, just really like the Cube aesthetics though.
I don't mean to brag, I don't mean to boast, but I'm intercontinental when I eat French toast...
  • Do the lightenings not come with two sets of wheels? There is a video on here from eurobike http://m.bikeradar.com/road/news/articl ... ideo-35189
