Bianchi Infinito 105 (2010) - Valuation?

An acquaintance has offered me their above bike which they have had for nearly 2 years as they are upgrading to a new bike.
I took it into a shop and everything appears fine, however the chain is a bit stretched and probably needs replacing along with the rear cassette circa £65 inc labour.
The bike appears mark and scratch free other than a large scrap on the front of each of the shimano 105 brake levers.
I've taken it for a 25km ride and it was great, really loved it. The 57cm frame perfect for me, the bike responsive but comfortable and forgiving.
We want to reach a fair price, and £900 has been suggested. The guy I spoke to in the shop really didn't know but thought that maybe £100 too high.
Could anybody else offer an opinion on the value? I think the bike is about £2200 new.
Many thanks.

The £900 suggested is not far off the mark in my opinion. Bianchi is always one of the most sought after brands on the secondhand market. Use the cassette & chain issue to negotiate (don't have your LBS change the cassette and chain - it's an easy 10-15 minute job and will save you a few quid.0

Thank you, I think it would be reassuring to both of us that a fair value is reached. Cassette and chain - I'll give anything a go, so would rather do it myself if it's not too complicated.0 -
Slane Cycles are offering a 2010 Infinito 105 for £1700

So if your mate's bike is in good nick then I reckon £900 is not far off the mark as a fair price.0 -

Only 13% off on somethat, albeit is new, is now 3 model years old as 2013 models are coming out? You have thought they'd have stretched to a bit more, thats basically a 2012 model year type discount.Bianchi Infinito CV

Yes, I would give him £825 to account for the new cassette and chain and the mark to the shifters.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
