Hi, I've been offered some wheels at a great price but they have a campagnolo freehub. The hubs are dt Swiss 190 ceramics and will. Cost a ton to switch to a shimano freehub. Anyone ever heard of such a cassette with campagnolo splines and shimano spacing?

  • No there is only the opposite available.
You can make do using a shiftmate, but it seems rather pointless to spend a fortune on a set of wheels and then having to use a shift mate.
Is it a ratchet type freehub? Those are about 60 quid, if I recall correctly.

BTW: there is no benefit in ceramic bearings, so if you are buying for that reason, save your money

  • Ok, I'd seen the ambrosio cassettes going the opposite way, was just hoping someone did shimano from a campagnolo hub. Won't be using a shift mate, would rather just keep my current wheels. The only freehub I can find for the 190 hub is ceramic. I don't care about having ceramic bearings so if there's a cheaper freehub available im all ears.

You should check if the freehub for the 240 works in the 190... that's the one I was talking about

  • The wheels you have been offered, are the same wheels you are trying to sell in the sales section?

  • Yes, to be honest my eyes lit up and the thought of trying to make a quick bit of money came to mind. However it is not right for me to do this especially as though they attend in my possession I don't currently own the wheels. In that respect I have posted in that thread that they are no longer for sale.
  • Naughty...

  • I know, I know. :/. Just found out marchisio do custom cassettes with campagnolo splines and shimano spacing. They look very good but they are about £110.
