I've bought a Giant SCR C2 fram to build a lightweight "best" bike with and according to Giants' write up that model came with a GXP Bottom Bracket. What is this and what makes of chainset can I use?

it is a Sram standard. so any Sram crank with GXP fitting. but if there is no BB fitted it is is not really important.

persuning it is a standard Euro thread (and not a press fit) you can fit what ever you want. sram.shimano.campy etc.

  • So I can swap the BB for something like Hollowtech II and go down the Shimano route?
    Thanks for the help?

    if it is threaded,

GXP and Shimano and Campy all use the same thread. when it is not Italian.
