Hi all
Thinking of getting a pair of Fizik R3 shoes and wondered if anyone would care to share their experiences of them.
A ton of money imo to shell out on a pair of shoes but they look good and my Northwaves are killing me.
I'm listening ......
Cheers

Well thanks for your help, handn't thought of that.
Didn't ask if they'd fit me just for owners experiences ie if they're well made, comfy (for them) lasting well etc
None local so I'd be buying of the net.25th August 2013 12hrs 37mins 52.3 seconds 238km 5500mtrs FYRM Never again.0 -

Nothing beats going to the shop and trying on several different brands.0 -
Did you buy the northwaves off the net as well?0

Bugger all point in asking people if their shoes are comfy.
Most sensible ones will have tried them on for fit and of course they bought the comfy shoes.
Go to a shop and buy ones that are comfy. Fit is far more important than looks.
Unless you're one of those girls who go out in high heels and end up carrying the shoes and walking barefoot by midnight ?0 -
I tried a pair when I bought my last shoes and they're a bit weird fitting-wise. I've got medium arches and it felt like I was standing on a golf ball. Might suit you if you've got very high arches but definitely worth trying before you buy.0

They are superbly well made out of very high quality materials. The straps are made of some Kevlar type stuff that actually looks a bit tom tit (like packing tape). But they come with a insole that needs to be fitted to your feet with a oven which is in the shop so I don't think buying them on the net would be a good idea. Also I seem to remember that the sizes came up very big.0

Hi,
I bought a pair of R3's at the weekend. Had no intention of buying any before i went in but ended up trying on a pair and thought they were great.
I have fairly flat feet but find the arch moulding gives better support but can still feel it whilst walking around, however they are a completely different feel on the bike, very comfortable.
Quite a good review here http://teamrcb.com/shop/373/new-shoe-showdown-giro-factor-vs-fizik-r3/0
