Dent in carbon frame (below the front deraillieur)
I have a Carbon fibre Cannondale Supersix and just below the front deraillieur mount there is a small dent / recess in the carbon frame. The paint work is in perfect condition so I don't think it's a defect. In addition, I had a similar dent/recess in the same position on my old carbon fibre Bianchi frame too.
Does anyone know if this type of dent is normal/by design. It seem' as though it's there to protect the frame from the inward swing of the front mech, but I'm not 100% certain?
Any advise on what it is (and whether anyone else has a similar thing on their frame) would be welcome.
