Does anyone know of anywhere in Essex/ suffolk/ east London that would add a mountain bike suspension fork to a cyclocross bike with disc brakes. I want the front end of the bike raised up as well as extra cushioning due to arthritis in my wrists.

I doubt and WOULD do it as
1/ It will not only raise the bars but the whole front end of the bike messing up the geometry
2/ The frame isn't warranted for the extra load of the longer forks.
Easy enough to do physically and anyone COULD.
Raising the bars, just flipping the stem will give you 10mm, a riser stem will give you a couple of inches, for cushioning fit a larger tyre or better forks (what are yours?)Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Been there, done that.
I think The Beginner was thinking about running 26" forks on CX frames, hence, his line of advice.
However, there are forks available designed for hybrid 700c and 29er mtb frames that would fit your requirements. Most are heavy pogosticks, but there are a few that work well enough.0 -
No I was thinking of running 700c/29er forks on a frame that is currently not running suspension corrected ones (no CX bike I've seen does), this will lift the front end, slacken the steering and chuck out the warranty.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
