I know it's not Christmas but getting a new bike

1st road bike due soon Just waiting for paperwork to be completed for my cycle to work. Then going to bike shop to pick up defy 3 ( plus some kit ).
I am wondering how easy it is to join a local club do you have to go through an initiation ceremony like riding at a certain speed for a certain distance.

no initiations... but my local club for example suggests 40 miles at 15mph solo as a good starting point before joining the club runs. That's not too hard to be honest.. especially since its flat round here.

best thing is to check the clubs website and email the club admin if you've got any questions
