We need to replace the Jockeys in an XT RD, however the ones I'm looking at are same top and bottom (no lateral movement for the top), wonder if anyone has any experianec on how this affects the shifting, logic says it will shift fatser as it will force the chain over before the ramps have a chance to lift it, so smoothness may suffer....anyone?
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

I use Mt Zoom Ultralight ones, haven't noticed any degradation in shift performance, they last well and weigh chuff all!
