Hi All,
Buy cheap, Pay twice. Is a saying that I am now familiar with having tried a couple of cheap front lights from eBay.

Can anyone recommend a decent light that isn't going to break the bank?

TIA

I decided to spend a little more and bought this. It's a beast

    Conclusion

Best bike lamp I've ever seen. Almost a car headlamp. Better than any motorcycle headlamp I've seen so far.

The guy's review pages are pretty in-depth if you want to look at other stuff. These are the battery powered lights he's reviewed http://swhs.home.xs4all.nl/fiets/tests/ ... -afkapping

Has the search function stopped working or the sticky on the mtb forum been removed?

I did likewise, after seeing the spill from the £30 deal extreme magic shine knock-off. Liked it so much, I bought the slightly-lower-powered dynamo version for the Pompetamine. Rose bikes or similar German bike shops for the best price.

LED Lenser P7 torch + lockblock mounting (the latter available from Deal Extreme) - about £30 when I bought mine. This will do for being seen and seeing where you're going on unlit roads
