Marin Lucas Valley to Sportive focused bike £2-3k

As above, have had the Marin for 7 years and love the comfort but am ready to take the next step and there are so many options. Any magic answers would be much appreciated, but would still like comfort as an absolute must.

    Just bought a Bianchi Infinito Ultegra for £2.5K. It's early days, I've only had it 2 weeks and done about 220 miles with a longest trip of 64 but it's fantastically comfortable and I'm loving it. The other bike which stood out for me for comfort was the Specialized Roubaix. The Ultegra equipped version I tested was about £3K

    Have a look at titanium - I've been on a Van Nicholas Astraeus for two years - feels nearly as quick as the Madone it replaced, but the comfort is excellent. I've done several 150 mile day rides on it no problems.
