Clothing on Ebay

Was wondering if anyone had any good experience with ebay specific brands of clothing?
I'm currently looking into getting some biking clothing for my first road biking experience and found one such brand on ebay; HDTX
I was wondering if anyone has ever bought anything from these guys and if it would be worth giving them a try? £14 for bib shorts and £25 for a jersey + padded shorts can't be ignored if they do the job.

I have bought a few items of clothing from China and so far all have been a bit of a disaster.
The quality has been OK but not great, but the worst part has been the sizing. Sizes seem to vary hugely with cycle clothing, and the clothing I got from China didn't fit. I haven't bothered sending it back as the postage costs didn't make it worthwhile - so have put it down to experience.
If the items fitted OK it would probably make it worthwhile.Simon0 -
I have a pair of these here........

I bought them for after work training rides (15 mile) but found they were fine on a 50 miler.
Well worth the money IMO."You really think you can burn off sugar with exercise?" downhill paul0 -
There's a long thread on Monton (who make the clothing in the original link), which got a bit distracted by the ethics of cheap chinese labour and fake replica team kits:

The general opinion seems to be that the gear is pretty decent quality, especially given the price, but be a bit careful of the sizing - go at least one size up from what you normally wear.0 -
I use Monton items off flea-bay . They sell the cheap £25 bib and jersey combos.
Fine to use for commutes and turbo training. Although, I have ridden 40+ miles in them and had no issues.
Generally the quality is quite good, exceeds expectations for sure. The only problem I've had is a broken zip on a jersey.
Sizing is sadly a guess at first using the charts given. Being able to mix sizes between shorts and jersey is great as I find a size smaller jersey suits me. But yes general rule of thumb - buy aside bigger than usual.
Great value for money.0 -
I ordered a load from a guy on ebay in china, full team kits with bib and jersey and the quality is excellent. It looks spot on and feels spot on to me. I have some genuine team kits and whilst the material is better quality, it really isn't worth all the extra in price...not to me anyway. I am getting the team kits for £20 with free delivery and it arrives 10 days later. Im gonna get a load more soon too, fancy the new saxo bank, the old blue one is my fav0
