Hi all,
Experienced club rider here and I am wishing to have a bashing at some local cyclocross races. I have a winterbike that is "almost" suitable without having to purchase a specific bike. Luckily this bike has long reach calipers.
However I am asking advice as to what size cyclocross tyres I can get away with:
Images painting 1000 words:
700 x 28c , 700 x 30c? I know 700 x 28c is the minimum made.
Also I would like some cross tyre recommendations please!

You might squeeze a file-tread 32mm in there but width is just as critical - your problem will be mud build-up under the brake caliper which unless you are riding really dry conditions, will bring you to a halt. Can't really say much else unless you try some for size and give it a go.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Indeed - looks like you have next to no clearance width wise on the forks so maybe the biggest tyre you can fit is the one that you've already got on it.Faster than a tent.......0

All good points, perhaps I need to take a look at the width clearance. Watch this space!0

I guess a front fork isnt out of the question to get more clearance and mount some calipers but the limiting factor will be the rear clearance...0
