I have a 2012 Langster and a small set of rolltop panniers (ALDI ones).

I'd like some help regarding how to bring these two together in an unholy commuting marriage. I don't want one of those seatpost racks, I want to be able to fit an ordinary rack at seat-stays and rear dropout area - The locations one would ordinarily find the braze-ons.

The general thrust after googling seems to be "P-Clips", but I'd appreciate a little more detail. Also these seem a little flimsy and ugly. Ideally I'd like the most secure, stable and permanent solution. I have seen these:

Is there an equivalent for the rear dropout? I don't want an axle mounting, once fitted I'd like not to have to remove/adjust when removing rear wheel etc.

Finally, what would you to avoid rub? Helicopter tape? Carefully cut old inner tube? Both?

If anyone has any rack suggestions too that would be gratefully received.

This is a link to a large stock image of the Langster if this should help - http://www.davemellorcycles.com/img/pds ... NGSTER.jpg

Many thanks,
Jamie.

Hmm, I'm not sure this is getting quite the response I hoped. :)

I made up my own p clips from some scrap Ali - a 23mm inner tube was ideal to use as a cushion between the lip and the frame. :)

Not sure if there is a non ugly way to mount it - it's got to be able to withstand a reasonable load and you want this spread across the contact points if possible - larger areas of contact with the fare will reduce chance of pinching the frame.
