Hi All
I have a defy3 currently and love it and have well caught the cycling bug doing up to 100 miles a week currently (hope to push more with fitness and join a club)
I hope if I am a good boy I may be able to treat myself around the same time next year depending on bonuses.
My short list is as follows
Cube Agree GTC SL Compact
Moda Stretto
Giant Defy Advanced 2
Ribble R872- upgraded to ultegra gearing and maybe upgrade wheels if needed.
I enjoy climbing and want something that is capable of of climbing quickly so lightness is a must. All of the above seem to come well spec'd.
I like the Giant because my current Giant is great and can only think one for more than double the price would be a great bit of kit!
Moda Stretto I saw in a LBS showroom and was shocked how light it was and it was a looker.
Cube seem to get a value for money badge and great write ups.
Ribble- I like the stealth look and the fact you can choose what you want for your bike. I also live not too far away so I could always visit the shop.

Cycling Plus have just run a comparison test on 6 bikes with climbing performance as the main target.
From the 6, the winner was the Giant Defy Advanced 3 so I'd stick with your selection of the Advanced 2 which is identical to the 3 except for the drivetrain which is Ultegra over 105.
If you love your existing Giant then stick with the brand.0
