Just picked up a Kask K-10 helmet for £40 (£130 normal price)... their website just crashed, so can only assume there is a lot of interest!

Gutted I missed those Kask helmets for £40 :(
Did get a new Polaris winter jacket for £28 reduced from £110 though.
  • Picked up the Giordana FR Carbon Winter Jacket I've been after for £52!

Got one of the Kask K10's. Nearly bought yesterday but gambled on them still being in stock today at 1100 when a further 15% discount was applied - £39.73, bargain.

I've been looking at Kasks too.. so annoyed that I missed out! (I usually don't use CRC as I find them worse than wiggle)

If anyone gets one and doesn't like it... you know who to PM ;)

Damn my premature smugness. Just had an email from CRC, stock levels were wrong when i ordered so no K10 for me. Though i wouldnt have an issue paying the RRP as theyre bloody good helmets.

What colour/version/time did you order? Just wondering if I'll also get the same email

    FYI £65 at:

    (or same shop via Ebay)

Ordered the same (good taste!)... It is stuck at "processing" - so maybe have a chance (or maybe not). I guess I'll have to wait until after the bank holiday to find out. At least I finally made a decision on what helmet to buy even if I don't get the one from CRC.

Fingers crossed! The K10 is a brilliant helmet (all very much down to personal preference, I know). Like I said earlier -even at the full asking price they're worth it!

Order cancelled today after a bit of chasing... no stock / stock errors! Now trying "Wheelies" (and looks like it's a newer model?) Actually I prefer the blue/white over the blue/silver, but it was £25 more. But still, £65 is a good price I think... lets hope I get this one!

Good sale alright, picked up a few cheap jerseys myself. Is there any way they'd be obliged to sort you out with a cheap helmet, stock discrepancies are they're fault at the end of the day, you completed your side of the bargain by ordering and paying. I personally would kick up a fuss, or at least fire off an email, but that's just me.

Websites always have something in the terms & conditions to get out of stuff like that..

because miss-pricing is quite common in internet retailing.

Why should they? It was a bargain, they oversold due to a stock error, or perhaps the system was overfaced due to demand. Why should they face further losses to appease some tight ass who kicks up a fuss because he missed the party? It's my pet hate.

Yes, too many get out clauses when shopping on-line. I did have a little bit of a moan and managed a £5 voucher for my troubles. I also did look at other sale helmets, but sold on the Kask K.10

Hopefully the Wheelies order will come good. I actually prefer the colour of the Wheelies lid as it better matches my club kit, not that I consider myself a fashion slave (I tend to buy only 'sale' items!). £65 for a decent lid is still pretty good.... and will look a little more fitting (and cooler) than my cheap MTB helmet (with the removed visor)

Now what to buy with my CRC voucher... without buying for buying's sake!

That's a pretty specific pet hate you got there, must've taken a while to weed out all the other pet peeves to leave that little doozy, well done.

I was simply saying that firing off an email wouldn't do any harm, so don't even begin to assume I'm a tight ass. And if you'd bothered you ass to actually read my post you'd find that I didn't miss the party and managed to pick up some delightful items on the cheap.

One would think you own CRC the way your talking, perhaps you do, and in that case congratulations on your thriving business, you must be proud.

BTW, my pet hate is clowns who trawl internet forums looking for the slightest excuse to write a confrontational post in harmless threads.

Always good to state you are a 'little disappointed' - my main disappointment with CRC was that they didn't tell me fast enough that they had stock issues so I could pursue other options; I actually took a chance and ordered the second helmet before I knew the CRC order wasn't going to be fulfilled, as I could see stock at Wheelies going (one of the 'colours' disappeared over the weekend).
But it was a bank holiday..... even though CRC appeared to be working on Monday (also had a second order that had been shipped on Monday)

You win some, you loose some! Not sure I consider myself 'a tight ass'. My 'cycling budget' is not a priority in my household and is hence limited!

Which is the correct way of doing things, politely putting across your disappointment in a reasonable manner has got you a fiver voucher.

"Kicking up a fuss", or asserting an obligation to fulfil an order as was suggested above by another poster is not the right way to do things. I don't own CRC, but I have managed another online retailer and have seen staff in trouble with management after someone "kicked up a fuss" over what boils down to human error. Most people that whine and complain in an unreasonable manner wouldn't do so in a traditional shop environment, so why change the way you behave because you are to a certain extent anonymous?

I wasn't calling you a tight ass BTW springtide9 (or anyone else for that matter).

The "kick up a fuss" part of the sentence was not meant to be taken seriously if you care to re-read it. What I wrote was "I personally would kick up a fuss, or at least fire off an email, but that's just me", the emphasis was on the latter option.
