Well hello
I have a query. Cree lights - any good? I've been using a hope vision one for 3 and a half years, and it has served my well. However I feel it's 240 max lumens are deficient for unlit roads (and it eats batteries). I have come across cree bike lights , lumen for pound they seem unbeatable
Any body got one?

Dealextreme torches. About £20 all in with charger battery and mount. Thats what you need. Not sure if theres a new ''must have' torch this winter - but mine is brilliant.0

+1 the DX lights
Have a look at this one.

As bright as the Vision1 but much dinkier. I run it on an Exposure handlebar mount.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -

Looking to get an additional light to supplement/use as back-up to my existing DX Magicshine and this might, at only $24, be worthy of consideration ?
Recommended batteries/charger to pair with that ?0 -
Damnit - i seem to have bought a new torch...
I always like to have a spare when I'm out anyway - I don't trust any one light to not fail in the middle of nowhere.
As to the batteries - just make sure you get 'protected' ones - and I've a cheap double charger and adaptor from US to UK all from DX - never had any bother with them. Absolute bargain.0
