Bad chain rattling

Hi,

Have a Scott CR1 Pro with full Ultegra. There is a really bad rattling sound whenever I go over any rough surfaces or if I pick up the rear wheel and drop it. I think it is the chain rattling. It seems to have got much louder over time.
It is very loud now and bloody annoying! Any advice?

    Check the lockring is tight on your cassette ?

    What gears are you using ? If you're using say small front and small rear then the chain may be a little too slack and can rattle on the frame ?
