Shimano 7850 C24 hub overhaul
Does anyone know how to remove the seal rings from the front hub without damaging them. They seem to be rather well secured. The hub has become rather gritty (I think it was overtightened which may have damaged the bearings (hopefully not the hub) and need to check the bearings.
Also can the bearings be replaced independently from the ball retainer or is it just as well to replace the whole thing. If not any links to the right bearings? (I think I've found suppliers of the full bearing retainer)
Alternatively does anyone know a good bike shop in London who has done this before? I've spoken to a couple and they have no idea of overhauling these hubs.
