Persuade my fiance to let me buy my special weekend bike?

I've been looking at it for weeks, dropping hints, but she wont let me buy the Bianchi?

How did everyone manage? I have my commuter for work etc... why doesn't she understand the concept of a weekend bike?

ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED!

If the current fiance won't let you buy what you want, you will have no chance with the wife.
Stand up* or you can see your future.

*Assuming that you can afford the bike in the first place. MTFU.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

Convince her that there are worse things you could spend your money on. Fags, booze, wild women etc etc. Assuming of course you don't spend loads on this already!!

Seriously dude, if you can afford it without compromising your commitments with your fiancé then just MTFU and buy it.

If it means cancelling a holiday or not paying the rent/mortgage, then you couldn't really afford it!

My wife is always asking 'Is that a new bike?' (which it is) to which I always answer 'Don't be silly love, I've had this one for years'!

However, I find myself asking the same about expensive shoes and handbags.....................

Yes it's called the Odin, I presume that you only ride it on Wednesdays.

My girlfriend persuaded me to drop dollar on a weekend bike.

She is even sympathetic to the fact that I might want a TT bike a the future, and a house with a garage to keep said quiver of bikes in.

    She's a keeper!!!!

Tell her that you brought it by accident.

You were paying the test ride deposit, and they charged you the full amount by accident, so you said "oh, we'll might as well keep it now"

    No harm, no foul.

Or buy the damned thing and don't apologise.

Mine wasn't very happy about me buying my road bike.

And she's quite unhappy about me commuting on it in London traffic.

And she's really unhappy about it living in the dining room.

At least, I think that's what those noises mean. I'm not listening. :D

  • I just bought mine and dealt with the ear ache after. My money, I'll do what I want with it.

Besides, my Mrs can wait a bit longer for an eternity ring - it's called an eternity ring for a reason ;)

didn't read this before my post but +1

My Mrs actually commented on how nice my bike looked. Can't remember the last time she moaned about me having bought it.
