Good Afternoon All,
I've been commuting on my SCOTT Speedster S40 (2011) for a while now, it's taken some hits (I love London riding) and done me proud in multiple Triathlon. I am looking now to retire this heroic piece of machinary to just the commuter route, it's earned it.
I am looking for something sexy for the weekend/ racing in Triathlon. I am not overly keen on an out and out TT and I after a year off this year, I am looking to come back in 2013 with avengance on the Tri scene. I'd like something up to about £1500 that'll suit me to race on and do well on. I am not a dead serious 'trying to win' racer BUT I would like to push on from just taking part. I am sure you get an idea of where I am.
Been looking at the Pinarello Uno, BMC SL01.
Any ideas for something in that sorta range. My lil' bro is into his bikes and reckons the Pinarello isn't much more than his Specialzed Allez Elite (apart from £500.00 for the brand name on the side), the BMC is half decent and Evans currently smashing them out in the sale at 1600beans....
....ruddy decisions....

...that's EvansCycles "smashing them out at 1600beans", not the actual man himself :P0

I'd go for a Planet X pro carbon for £999 and spend the other £500 on some carbon wheels and racing tyres for tri.

+1 for the SuperSix, it gets plenty of love in here. Also consider the Trek Madone 3.5 IIRC it scored well in Cycling Plus' bike of the year.Trek 1.1c (2012) - For commuting
Trek Madone 5.5c (2010) - For pleasure http://i1151.photobucket.com/albums/o62 ... G_0413.jpg0
