Hi there. I have been looking at a Time RXRS Ulteam and would appreciate feedback from any owners out there. The problem is there are no dealers here in NI so a test ride is not an option. I would have to order from the mainland and I know it is perhaps not a good idea to buy without testing but nothing I can do. So if anyone has views good, bad or indifferent could you let me know. Thank you.

I sold mine when I realised I wasn't going to race seriously for a year or two. I think it seemed the fastest bike I've ridden. Very responsive and better comfort than I thought it would be. Really nice bike, but it should be for that kind of money.
Looked way better with slightly deeper wheels in it by the way.

I have the 2010 RXR. Definitely a comfortable bike, which was a surprise. I used it for the RAID a couple of years ago without any of the aches and pains I normally get from my Pinarello. It does have a unique ride quality though in that the front triangle seems to lack stiffness in comparison to the rest of the bike. If you look at the junction between top tube and seat tube, it is very small diameter tubing and I think this is the reason. There was quite a big thread on weight weenies about this, with some people even reutrning their frames thinking they were faulty. They may well have modified the design for the RXRS, but in honesty it doesn't really affect the enjoyment of the bike, it's just a little unusual. I would definitely advise against buying one blind though.

Thank you. I was a bit worried about buying without trying. having a few days in France soon and could perhaps find a dealer there and even blag a tryout.

If you contact Time (their facebook page is best place to get a response), they will put you in contact with a UK dealer and arrange a test bike for you.
