Compact chainrings for Ultegra?

Hi all

I want to change my current Ultegra 6700 standard chain set to a compact.

I'm finding some climbs a bit hard.

I'm pretty sure I can't simply change my current chainrings for compact shimano chainrings because of the spider size.

Is there another option such as Qrings or similar or do I have to buy a new chain set ?

Thanks in advance.

New chainset is the only way - the compact 34 ring is too small a diameter to allow the bolt holes to be drilled in the right place for a standard chainset. 38 teeth is the minimum that will fit.

Still - at least you can swap between chainsets fairly easily - especially with a braze on front derailleur
