chain replacing

i check my chain with the park tool Chain Wear Indicator and it read .5% .do have to change my Cassette as well as the chain i go book my bike in for big service full strip down re build service i can get new cassette and chain which is 105.at CRC cycles &55.any info please

    if the park tool reads 0.5 leave alone it is all fine. I leave mine for much longer than that with no issues. Also you have to consider when a 105 cassette is £40 and a 10 a speed KMC 10-93 chaim less than £25 it is not cost effective to change the chain early. Either leave it on untill skipping occurs and change the chain and cassette at the same time or change when that park thingy read 0.75 to 1 % wear, then you should get three chains to one casstte.

    Good chain rings normally last well.
