Hello all,

Can anyone recommend a windproof / water resistant breathable jacket that I can take around with me in my back pocket in case of sudden downpours?

I've seen the Mavic one for £40 at Evans, the Montane H20 or the Sportful Hot Pack 4. Any links to good deals appreciated..

Bought the Castelli Squadra earlier this year. Have used in earnest a couple of times and it performed well. Never going to keep you completely dry in prolonged rain but ideal to cope with the short sharp shower.

Rolls up neatly for stowing in a jersey pocket.

Currently on sale at Wiggle but the sizes on offer are limited.

What's the fit like? What size chest are you and what size did you need?
  • Can't remember how much i paid, but I've had my Gore Paclite for about ten years and it's still going strong - still breathable, still waterproof, packs nice and small.

Altura pocket rocket. Packs down to the size of a fist and is completely waterproof.

Fit is great. Well contoured so does not flap around. I am a fairly chunky 85kg with a 44" (112cm) chest. Went for the 3XL based on the Castelli sizing chart and that was just right form me.
