Anyone have any views/experience of these?

I've taken a fancy to a new De Rosa frame but it has a BB30 shell and, having just spent a lot on a new chainset, I'm a bit reluctant to shell out (geddit?) if it means buying another chainset. I assume that, given it's made by FSA, it ought to work OK.

Cheers, Tony

Personally I'd go for something less 'permanent' as although that adapter can be removed once fitted it needs special tools. Doesn't it need bonding into the existing shell? Look at the rotor one which just slots in and out, or the wheels manufacturing ones that fit into existing bb30 bearings.

As above. These adapters are very useful and easily installed/removed should you want to install a BB30 compatible crank at a later date:

Chhers for the replies - I hadn't come across these adaptors in my brief search and they look the way to go. I was a bit worried about forcing the FSA one through the entire length of the BB shell, although it apparently only needs a headset press to install and remove it it's stuck in with some variant of loctite. I think I'd feel a lot happier with cups inserted from either side.

I installed the KCNC adapter to my BB30 frame as I only have Shimano cranks. It works excellently. The only difficulty is that this particular adapter requires two very fragile plastic shims to be installed between crank and bearing. It's a delicate operation. I believe this is because the adapter is primarily designed for KCNC's own cranks. I think the Raceface adapter would be a better bet. I'll probably try that when the bearings eventually go on the KCNC adapter.
