Just about to fit a double up front on the bike, normally i run my hope bb with 2 spacers on the driveside and 1 spacer non-driveside when i'm running 3x9, dont ask me why i just always have done. When i run SS i usually remove one of the driveside spacers and it seems to be fine chainline-wise. When i last 'tried' 2x9 i seemed to get a lot of chainsuck but i dont recall how many spacers i ran, however i have since changed my frame so it may or may not be a contributing factor?

My question to the stw massif is what to run spacer-wise on a 2x9 set up?

thanks in advance and even better if there is some reasoning/experience explaining it!

the number of spacers is always the same or you can either not preload the bearings or crush the bearings. chainline is also the same in all cases.

but again it does depend on the BB width (guessing 68mm) and the cranks (guessing shimano as any other will either make no difference or not work).
