Hi,

I'd like to order some DHB bib shorts and yes I know I could get some Assos but I'm not spending that sort of money just yet when I've not long be into road riding. Are the Pro ones worth getting over the Race ? What's there sizing like ? Im 5'5/6 with a 32 waist and about 37 chest. Looking at there chart I'm a small but reading comments on Wiggle people have gone for a medium that are around my size ? Also I have some Endura shorts in a med, but there bibs in a small :|
I think a medium would be best to order :?

Thanks.

  • For what it's worth I am 6 foot and 42 inch waist and the XXL fits very nicely - I have the Aeron Race bib shorts but am thinking of getting the Pros as they have a (supposedly) better, more comfortable pad. I intially bought the Aeron base model but was not impressed when it arrived and returned it for the Race - I have had then for over a year and they have been fine (nothing special). Now my rides are regularily over 30 miles or so I feel the need for an upgrade. I would also love to try Assos as their rep is amazing but I am worried they wouldn't fit me!

The great thing about Wiggle is you can order - have a look and try them on and returns are no problem.

S1mon, I think you'll be ok with Medium. I'm 34" waist and have a medium Aeron Race bib. The waist/leg isnt the problem, its the inside length. I'm 5'8 and i'd say they are probably best suited for someone an inch or 2 smaller. I get away ok with them but they are at a limit for my height.

I can't help with the sizing as I'm 6'1. But I own pairs of both the Pro and Race. Slightly better material and pad in the Pro. But not that noticeable. The only real noticeable thing is the leg grippers are much nicer in the Pro. What shorts will I buy next? The Pro I suspect, although if they didn't have any more in stock I'd be happy with the race.

    Wot he said.

I have both and there's not much to choose between the two, the pad in the Pro's is slightly thicker so they're my first choice, especially for longer rides. The pro's look and feel nicer too.

Re size I have the Pro's in small and the Race's in medium and there's not much difference between them, maybe get the small and the medium and see which fits best and return the others.
