I am looking at upgrading my handlebars , currently running stock bars on my trek 2.1.
The stock bars are very uncomfortable and very thick, I need to have my hands open wider then I would like
I have read allot of reviews for 3T ErgoSum Pro Alloy Road Handlebar.
If anybody could recommend then or others around the £50 mark I would appreciate it

I use the ErgoNova alloy model - lovely shape, nice wide bit on the tops, and the drops are shallower than most so I can actually use them.

Best bet would be to get yourself to a shop and try a few - find one that's comfortable.
Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...

I also hated the handlebars that came on my Trek, found them too rounded so there was no comfortable place to put hands on drops and drops themselves too low, also the spongey feeling bartape that came as standard didn't suit me at all. I changed to Easton EA50's and Fizik tape, suits me lovely now.

Another fan of the Ergonova bars here. As Tommy said, very comfy on the flattened profile of the tops and very easy to spend more time on the drops.
