Clincher Tyre Repair???
Hi,
My Ultremo ZXs have developed a small tear/hole thanks to a bit of flint. Its pretty central, about 6mm long and 3 mm wide when the tyre is under pressure. I've placed a patch on the inside of the tyre which seems to be protecting the inner tube so far. The split has led to a slight bulge/distortion in the tyre shape.
The tyre is only two months old and they're damn expensive so I was wondering if it was worth letting the tyre down and super gluing the split?
I'd be grateful for any advice.
Thanks

you can use a tyre boot, either a ready made one such as those from park tool, otherwise a piece of toothpaste tube is an alternative
super glue will not lastmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
The way you say it, it sounds beyond repair, can you post a photo of it?left the forum March 20230

A bulging tyre in general need to replaced as this is normally the carcass begining to fail under pressure.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0
