Ultegra 6700 Standard chainset - 38T inner ?

I currently have a 52/39 chainset and was wondering what was the smallest inner chainring I could go to, as I'm enjoying my double but think a 38T inner would be perfect for me for steeper stuff.

    Front mech may dictate but cant see an issue with a 38, although I can't see much benefit for 1 tooth difference either.
