Handlebar drop to straight

I have pretty much given up trying to be comfortable in drops, so i'm looking at a straight bar conversion, so any advice on components? I have in mind a bullhorn type, not to fussed about carbon but nothing too heavy.

So i need to change brakes, and gear selectors. But where to mount? i have seen some brake levers and gear selectors the mount on the bar end, and i am sure a lot is personal choice, i am just hoping there is a "normal" configuration
