2008 Kona four, worth buying?

I'm shopping around for a new Mountain bike and ran across this 2008 Kona four 19" for 400 euros. I allready went and took a look at the bike and it is allmost untouched (been used about 10 times according to the owner), everything works albeit the gears and brakes might need a bit of adjusting. also i'm a bit puzzled about the size: i'm 185 cm (roughly 6-6'1). I rode the bike on the street and it felt allright, just wondering if it's going to be a different story once i get it on the trails?

would this be a good bike for a beginner?
